Yes, those are balloons dropping from the ceiling.
No, I couldn’t see things very clearly from the next to last row (nor could my iPhone’s camera)…but I’m pretty sure I saw Sufjan and his band dancing around like crazy, dressed tin foil-esque costumes in front of an amazing light/video show.
Yes, I could hear it all and the music was fantastic.
