• "Grand Mal" mysteriously turns up on an Elliott Smith message board.

  “If you believe the Elliott Smith legend, there are hundreds of unreleased songs and outtakes recorded by the late singer-songwriter collecting cobwebs somewhere. “Grand Mal”— quite possibly recorded during the sessions for XO (which had the working title of Grand Mal)— was one of those hidden tracks. Keyword: “was.”
