• I can remember telling our players, the (‘97-98) team, the last time I was with all of them, they left an incredible legacy,” [Lloyd] Carr said. “So the first thing I thought about when I was told of this gift is, now you think about the legacy he’s left as a player. All-American, Heisman Trophy winner, first time since two-platoon football a defensive player (won a Heisman) and a national championship. … Now his legacy will be, for every player that comes here, they’re going to know what this guy gave back. For all the players in the past that have been here, they’re going to look at Charles Woodson.
