The church in the background of this picture seemed to spring into view almost out of nowhere. It was pretty amazing to be walking amongst a smattering of modern buildings and old houses (many of which started below the sidewalks since they were built before the city raised the street levels) and stumble upon these steeples.
Also, the neighborhood houses one of the best Mexican Restaurants I’ve been to: Nuevo León.

The sun dipping into the ocean off the California coast.
I lived in Los Angeles for almost 15 years of my life and was shocked to realize that until this moment, I had never really witnessed how quickly the sun makes its final plunge into the Pacific.
Now I’m back in New York and it feels freezing as fuck.
Maybe there is something to this weather argument after-all.
Oh well, the Pizza here still wins the day.
