Chasing the G train…
This is me most mornings. Because the G train is shorter than the usual NYC subway train, the last car is always further down the platform. That way, even if you see it pulling in, you still might have to sprint to squeeze in that last closing door.

I decided to take a walk up the West Side of Manhattan this weekend and would up overlooking the West Side Yard.
There’s something very striking about the sight of a brightly lit, expansive open space after emerging from the dark nighttime maize of New York’s crowded sidewalks and towering skyscrapers.
